We’re looking for a runner or sports‑enthusiast, final‑year student or recent graduate to take on a 16‑week, part‑time fundraising & outreach role for Hope Ladder’s Freshworks Chennai Marathon campaign. This paid opportunity (₹50 K plus bonus) lets you mobilise charity runners and raise funds to support athletes from disadvantaged backgrounds while building hands‑on skills in social‑impact fundraising. 🏃 Job Description: Part‑Time Fundraising & Outreach Coordinator (16 weeks)
Role: Coordinate the Freshworks Chennai Marathon (FCM) 2026 fundraising campaign for Hope Ladder.
Duration: 16 weeks, part‑time (approx. 10–12 hrs/week) from late August 2025 to early January 2026.
Location: Remote/Chennai with occasional on‑site presence at running events which happens twice a week, mostly on the weekends.
Candidate profile
• Sports‑minded: A runner, athlete or someone passionate about sport. Final‑year students or recent graduates are especially encouraged to apply.
• Learner mindset: Motivated to develop real‑world execution skills through hands‑on fundraising and event management.
• Networker: Comfortable engaging with running communities and corporate sponsors.
Key responsibilities
1. Recruit & support charity runners
• Identify five runners from each of the 16 Chennai Runners chapters by Aug-Sep by working with our team.
• Encourage each runner to fundraise ₹20–30 K and help them set up KETO pages.
• Maintain regular communication and track fundraising progress.
2. Coordinate communications
• Draft and distribute a registration guide on how to select Hope Ladder as the charity beneficiary (WhatsApp/LinkedIn/Email).
• Present Hope Ladder’s mission at chapter meetings to inspire participation.
3. Plan event presence
• Manage booths at FCM‑related events (CR trail run, Back Yard Ultra, LS1, ECR run, and weekly Dec runs), including logistics, standees, hydration and merchandise.
• Arrange for beneficiary athletes to attend and share their stories.
• Support corporate outreach efforts (meetings with sponsors, partners).
4. Deliver fundraising assets
• Organise charity runner kits (T‑shirts, mugs/medals/certificates, instruction notes).
• Oversee production of a short video about Hope Ladder’s impact.
• Provide weekly progress updates to the Hope Ladder team.
Compensation & perks
• Base stipend: ₹50,000 for the 16‑week engagement.
• Performance bonus: 1 % commission on funds raised over ₹20 Lakhs through your campaign.
• Recognition: Certificate of appreciation and a personalised letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
