Paravet/LSS

Founded in 2010, YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals) is a registered charity based in Mumbai, committed to fostering harmonious human-animal co-existence and combating animal cruelty. The organization provides timely medical services for abandoned and injured animals, offers behavioral rehabilitation for distressed animals, and shelters homeless or elderly animals until they are adopted or released. YODA also focuses on vaccinating and sterilizing stray animals to manage their population and minimize the spread of zoonotic diseases. Education and awareness are central to YODA's mission of creating a city free from animal cruelty.

This is a full-time, on-site Paravet/LSS role based in Gurugram. The primary responsibilities include providing basic veterinary care, assisting in vaccination and sterilization programs, and ensuring the health and welfare of animals under YODA's care. The Paravet/LSS will work closely with veterinarians to administer treatments, manage animal rehabilitation, monitor recovery, and support shelter activities. The candidate will also collaborate with the team to spread awareness about animal welfare and educate the public on responsible pet care.

• Proficiency in basic veterinary techniques, including first aid, handling animals, and identifying common illnesses and injuries
• Experience assisting with vaccination and sterilization processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with the public and educate them about animal welfare
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under challenging conditions
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior and rehabilitation
• Previous experience in animal welfare or healthcare-related roles is a plus
• A diploma or certification in Veterinary Nursing, Livestock Supervisor Services (LSS), or a relevant field
