Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Paper Bag Machine Operator / Flexo Printing Machine Operator based in Hosur. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring paper bag and flexographic printing machines to meet production plans and quality standards. The operator will perform routine checks, adjust machine settings, and change rolls, plates, inks, and substrates as required for various jobs. Daily tasks include inspecting output for print quality, registration, and bag dimensions, performing basic preventive maintenance, and reporting any mechanical issues. The role also includes maintaining production records, following safety and housekeeping standards, coordinating with supervisors and quality teams, and supporting continuous improvement in machine performance and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Strong machine operation skills, including setup, running, and basic troubleshooting of Paper Bag and Flexo Printing machines.
- Experience with production machinery and familiarity with mechanical systems, rollers, gears, and drive units.
- Quality control skills, including visual inspection, measurement of dimensions, and adherence to print and bag quality standards.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools for adjustments, minor repairs, and regular machine maintenance.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams, and to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Prior experience in printing, packaging, or converting industry preferred, especially with paper bags or flexographic printing.
- Ability to work in shifts, stand for extended periods, handle material movement, and follow safety and 5S/housekeeping standards.
- ITI, vocational training, or equivalent technical qualification in printing, packaging, or mechanical trade is an advantage.
