Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Control Panel / Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in control panel wiring, electrical assembly, and troubleshooting. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with electrical schematics and panel layouts.

The candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting control panels according to engineering drawings and company quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on various electrical control systems and industrial automation projects while collaborating with experienced engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

Control Panel Assembly

  • Assemble electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and design specifications.
  • Install electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, terminals, PLC modules, power supplies, and other control devices.
  • Ensure proper arrangement and mounting of components inside the control panel to maintain safety and efficiency.

Panel Wiring

  • Perform internal wiring of control panels as per wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and termination to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures while working with wiring and electrical components.

Reading Electrical Drawings

  • Interpret electrical diagrams, wiring diagrams, and CAD schematics to correctly assemble and wire control panels.
  • Work closely with design engineers to clarify drawings and resolve technical issues if required.

Testing and Troubleshooting

  • Test control panels after wiring to ensure proper functionality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot wiring faults, connection issues, or component failures.
  • Conduct electrical continuity checks and functional tests before installation.

Installation Support

  • Assist with installation and commissioning of control panels at the site if required.
  • Coordinate with engineers and technicians during installation to ensure smooth operation of electrical systems.

Quality and Safety Compliance

  • Follow company safety guidelines and electrical standards during panel assembly and wiring.
  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to project requirements and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technician, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 13 years of hands-on experience in control panel wiring and electrical assembly.
  • Experience working with industrial control panels or automation panels will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of electrical components such as relays, contactors, circuit breakers, terminals, and PLC modules.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting and testing procedures.

Personal Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Additional Information

  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies related to electrical control systems.
  • Field work or site visits may be required depending on project needs..
