Ensure safe and efficient operations of LPG/White Oil/Black Oil tank farm and road loading gantries, including control room operations, emergency handling, and coordination with stakeholders for smooth product movements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Budgeting
  • Coordinate shift operations and maintenance activities for road loading gantries and tank farm areas.
  • Set job priorities as per loading plan and deploy field officers accordingly.
  • Optimize utilization of resources and facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions during the shift.
  • Quality Management System
  • Coordinate with Shift Incharge, PIT, and QC Lab for timely availability of certified products.
  • Ensure supply of products meeting industry quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Stop loading of products not meeting quality norms.
  • Ensure adherence to industry guidelines for quality assurance.
  • Minimize turnaround time of tank trucks/bullets.
  • Systems, Policies & Procedures
  • Implement and monitor systems, policies, and procedures during the shift.
  • Stop any activities not adhering to SOPs or policies.
  • Ensure proper implementation of SOPs in control room operations.
  • Communicate effectively with service departments for smooth operations.
  • Management
  • Follow up and monitor implementation of systems and policies during the shift.
  • Optimize resources and ensure product quality.
  • Review sampling and lab analysis; take corrective actions in consultation with Shift Incharge.
  • Review previous shift logs and note key issues requiring attention.
  • Team Management
  • Guide team members under the direction of Shift Incharge and Area Manager.
  • Report deviations and actions taken to Shift Incharge and Area Manager.
  • Maintain logs of all activities and critical maintenance jobs during the shift.
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Handle customer concerns promptly and ensure compliance with agreed standards.
  • Stop activities not meeting customer expectations.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Shift Incharge or Area Manager.
  • OHSMS (Health, Safety, Environment & Fire)
  • Ensure compliance with HSEF procedures for a safe workplace.
  • Stop unsafe activities immediately.
  • Achieve operational excellence in road loading gantries and tank farm areas.
  • Ensure adherence to work permit system and safety policies.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments during emergencies as per ERDMP.
  • Coordination
  • Coordinate with field officers, PIT operations, QC Lab, and RLCB for timely product evacuation.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with service departments for timely support.
  • Energy Management System
  • Ensure effective implementation of energy management systems.
  • Stop activities deviating from energy objectives.
  • Promote awareness of energy policy and objectives.
  • Environment Management System
  • Ensure adherence to environmental systems and legal requirements.
  • Stop activities violating environmental norms.
  • Promote awareness of environmental consequences of deviations.
  • Development
  • Train prospective field officers in panel operations.
  • Assist in identifying training needs for improvement.

Qualifications


B.Tech

Skills:

  • Knowledge of terminal operations (POL & LPG).
  • Handling TAS/DCS/TIS/F&G systems.
  • Safety aspects of loading operations.
  • Knowledge of IQCM, OISD, SOPs, ERDMP.
  • Emergency handling and ERP documentation (preferably SAP)
  • Strong communication, planning, negotiation, and operational excellence skills.
