Job Description
Zensar Technologies Limited is looking for an experienced Palo Alto Firewall Engineer to join our team in Gurgaon, with an option to work from Bengaluru. This role is a critical part of our Network and Firewall Operations, where you will leverage your expertise in firewalls, security appliances, and network technologies to provide operational support, governance, and project delivery. As a member of the ENS team, you will contribute to regional support functions, ensuring stability and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include resolving high-severity incidents, collaborating with suppliers and vendors, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks and cloud firewalls, and a proven track record in incident, problem, and change management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct yourself as a seasoned technical professional, demonstrating expertise in network security and firewall technologies.
- Deliver regional One team approach as an ENS stakeholder, ensuring collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Take ownership for operational excellence, driving initiatives to maintain stability and improve performance.
- Adhere to ENS engineering standards and best practices, ensuring consistent and high-quality work.
- Resolve High Severity Incidents, providing timely and effective technical support as required.
- Monitor and manage ENS infrastructure and services, meeting defined OLAs and KPIs for optimal performance.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure all services meet expectations and SLAs.
- Share your operational experience to mentor and elevate the skills of the ENS team.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of technologies, providing technical insights and recommendations.
- Ensure delivered solutions are supportable, following the ready for service framework.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is required.
- Recognized as a network security expert with deep knowledge of various technologies and a broad understanding of network security.
- Extensive hands-on experience managing Firewall and security products, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, ZScaler Cloud Proxies, F5 load balancing, and network segmentation.
- Excellent understanding of network security architecture, design, and support principles.
- Proven Service Management (ITIL) experience, particularly in incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems logically and efficiently.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills and vendor management experience are essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adapting to changing work responsibilities.
- Experience in a DevOps role is desirable, with knowledge of SDN, NFV, Cloud, and Cloud Management Platforms.
