We are seeking a Palantir Data Software Engineer to design, implement and optimize data solutions using Palantir Foundry, enabling data-driven decision-making for our clients.
This role involves working with large-scale distributed systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives in the Insurance domain.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data pipelines using Palantir Foundry to enable data-driven decision-making
- Optimize and maintain ETL processes utilizing Python, PySpark and SQL to transform large-scale datasets efficiently
- Apply data warehousing concepts and ELT techniques to develop scalable data solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Scrum/Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions
- Perform data analysis and debugging to identify and resolve issues in complex data pipelines
- Bridge technical and business knowledge to ensure alignment of data solutions with Insurance domain objectives
- Document processes, workflows and functionality to ensure transparency and ease of future updates
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for potential adoption
- Participate in global, culturally diverse team interactions with effective communication
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
- At least 4+ years of experience with a focus on large-scale distributed computing systems
- Hands-on development experience with Palantir Foundry
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL (Spark SQL preferred) for developing and optimizing complex data pipelines
- Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ELT techniques, and understanding of Insurance domain is highly desirable
- Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies for project delivery
- Showcase of strong analytical thinking and the ability to address intricate challenges
- Self-motivated with good time management skills, capable of owning tasks from inception to delivery
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills including clarity in complex contexts
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Background in the Insurance domain, Financial Industry or finance-related functions in other industries
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and build tools like Gradle
