Role Description The Paid/Articled Assistant will support audit, assurance, tax, and compliance engagements under the guidance of senior team members in a full-time capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing and reviewing working papers, and supporting Ind AS and IFRS-related assignments. The role involves drafting and filing tax returns, supporting GST and other indirect tax compliances, and assisting with company law filings and documentation. The Paid/Articled Assistant will also help in maintaining client records, conducting basic research on accounting and tax matters, and preparing reports and summaries for internal review. This is an on-site role based in Guntur, requiring consistent office presence and collaboration with the firm's professional team.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting and auditing principles, including exposure to IFRS, Ind AS, and basic financial statement analysis.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect taxation concepts, including income tax, GST, and basic understanding of transfer pricing and NRI taxation.
- Familiarity with company law compliances, including documentation, filings, and regulatory requirements for domestic and foreign company incorporation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with accounting and tax software or ERP tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prepare clear work papers and reports.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Guntur, collaborate within a team, and manage time effectively across multiple assignments.
- Enrollment as an articled assistant (CA student) or pursuing a relevant commerce/accounting degree or qualification is preferred.
