About The Opportunity
A leading provider in the private healthcare and outpatient paediatric services sector, delivering full-spectrum child health care including routine well-child checks, acute pediatric care, immunizations and neonatal support across North India. We operate patient-centric clinics focused on evidence-based paediatrics and family counselling with high standards of safety and clinical governance.
Position: Consultant Paediatrician (On-site) Khanna, Punjab. Join a hands-on clinical team serving infants, children and adolescents in a busy outpatient and inpatient setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive paediatric clinical care: outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, newborn assessments and follow-up for acute and chronic paediatric conditions.
- Manage paediatric emergencies and stabilization on-site; perform resuscitation and acute interventions as required.
- Lead immunization clinics, growth and developmental screening, and routine preventive-care counselling for parents and caregivers.
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EMR, maintain medical records, prescribe treatment plans and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed.
- Mentor and supervise junior doctors, nurses and allied staff on paediatric protocols, infection control and newborn care practices.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, community outreach programs and continuing medical education sessions.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics or equivalent clinical qualification
- Current registration with the relevant medical council in India
- Proven experience working in paediatric outpatient and inpatient settings (neonatal exposure preferred)
- Certifications: PALS, NRP and BLS (or equivalent)
- Strong competency in paediatric emergency management, growth & development assessment and immunization protocols
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and standard clinical documentation
Preferred
- Experience in neonatal care or NICU rotations
- Training/certification in IMNCI or community paediatrics
- Prior experience in a busy private clinic or multispecialty hospital setting
