Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled PACS Support Engineer to provide technical and application support for teleradiology systems, PACS environments, and related healthcare IT infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting, customer support, system deployments, and ensuring seamless operation of radiology applications and imaging workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Application Support
- Work with teleradiology systems, PACS applications, supporting software, and hardware.
- Provide technical support for PACS, RIS, HIS, and integrated healthcare applications.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, hardware, and software-related issues.
- Own, investigate, and resolve customer issues within defined SLAs.
- Follow escalation procedures and collaborate with internal teams for issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge base articles, and known error records.
PACS & Imaging Support
- Support PACS implementation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor PACS performance and ensure availability of imaging systems.
- Troubleshoot DICOM connectivity, image transfer, routing, and workflow issues.
- Support integration between PACS, RIS, HIS, modalities, and reporting platforms.
- Assist healthcare facilities with PACS upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
- Coordinate with radiologists and client IT teams to resolve imaging workflow issues.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with customers across multiple geographies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve support tickets efficiently.
- Provide timely updates and reports to customers and management teams.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to process improvements and reduction of recurring incidents.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and prepare accurate operational reports.
Requirements
- BS/BCA/B.Tech/MCA in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, application support, or PACS support within a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of DICOM, PACS, RIS, HIS, and radiology workflows.
- Familiarity with imaging modalities including X-Ray, CR, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
- Experience in hardware and software installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, servers, and healthcare system integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer support skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PACS administration and healthcare IT infrastructure.
- Understanding of image lifecycle management and radiology workflow processes.
- Exposure to cloud-based PACS and teleradiology environments is an added advantage.
