Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Packing Machine Operators based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Packing Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor packing machines to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe packaging of FMCG products. Responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic troubleshooting, and conducting routine checks to maintain product quality and minimize downtime. The role also involves following standard operating procedures, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness around the machine area, and accurately recording production data. The operator will work closely with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams to meet daily production targets and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating packing or production machinery in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for adjusting machine settings, performing minor troubleshooting, and identifying issues.
- Understanding of quality standards, basic inspection methods, and adherence to GMP and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and basic documentation in English and/or local language.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work on repetitive tasks with consistency, and maintain accurate records.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials safely, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or overtime as required by production demands.
- Completed secondary education (10th/12th standard) or equivalent; vocational training in machine operation or industrial trades is an advantage.
- Prior experience in FMCG, food, cosmetics, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
