Role Description The Packaging Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvannamalai. This role oversees day-to-day packaging operations, including planning and managing production schedules for paper bags, coordinating with design, procurement, and production teams, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and sustainability standards. The Packaging Manager monitors machine performance and workflow, optimizes material usage, and resolves operational issues to maintain high-volume, timely output. Additional responsibilities include managing packaging staff, training team members on processes and best practices, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with management on continuous improvement and cost efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications

Experience in packaging operations or production management, preferably in paper products, printing, or related manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of packaging materials, eco-friendly and biodegradable solutions, and basic principles of sustainable manufacturing.
Skills in planning, organizing, and monitoring production schedules, with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
Proficiency in supervising and coaching teams, handling shift schedules, and promoting a safe and inclusive workplace.
Understanding of quality control processes, inspection standards, and troubleshooting for packaging defects or machine issues.
Ability to work with basic production data, maintain records, and use MS Office or similar tools for reporting and communication.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with design, procurement, sales, and logistics teams.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, Packaging Technology, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Experience with automated packaging or bag-making machinery, lean manufacturing, or process improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Tiruvannamalai and be hands-on with shop-floor activities.
