About The Role
Job Title: Packaging Application Engineer
Experience : 5-8 years
Required Skills
- Packaging & Deployment
- MSI/MSP, MSIX, IntuneWin; transforms (MST), custom actions.
- PSADT (PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit) and robust PowerShell scripting.
- Building reliable detection rules, requirement rules, supersedence/retire strategies.
- Endpoint Management
- ManageEngine: Win32 apps, Store apps, WinGet apps, assignment, rings, requirement/detection logic, dependencies, supersedence, notifications, deadlines, Applications vs Packages, DPs/DP groups, boundary groups, collections, maintenance windows.
- Third‑Party Updates
- Experience with ManageEngine, or SCUP catalogs; silent switches for common vendors.
- Handling vendor‑specific quirks (reboots, services, user‑context add‑ons, browser plugins).
- Security & Compliance
- Code signing (MSIX/EXE/PowerShell), PKI/Cert lifecycle, Authenticode validation.
- Understanding of vulnerability severity & SLAs; linking patch rollout to vulnerability findings.
- Hash verification, secure artifact storage, provenance checks.
- Testing & Troubleshooting
