P&ID Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and revise Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on PFDs and engineering inputs.
• Develop engineering drawings using SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID), AVEVA P&ID, or AutoCAD.
• Apply line numbering, equipment/instrument tagging, and maintain engineering standards.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams to incorporate design changes.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drafting standards, and revision control procedures.
• Support preparation of line lists, equipment lists, and As-Built documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
• 3–10+ years of experience in P&ID drafting/design within EPC projects.
• Experience in Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Water, or Industrial Process Plants.
• Proficiency in SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID), AVEVA P&ID, and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, instrumentation symbols, line numbering, and ISA/ISO standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
