Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional for the role of Overseas Sales & Agency Development Specialist, focused on expanding our footprint in the strategic East India region. Based in either Chennai or Bangalore, you will be at the forefront of building and nurturing our agency network in this vital market. This role is pivotal for strengthening our presence, combining the strategic pursuit of new partnerships with the cultivation of long-term relationships. Key Responsibilities

New Agency Development:​ Proactively identify, prospect, and establish relationships with qualified freight forwarding agents across the East India region, with a focus on building a robust and high-performing agency network.

Sales & Partnership Cycle Management:​ Manage the end-to-end partnership development process. Introduce qualified leads to the Lane Manager and actively support commercial negotiations, contract finalization, and seamless onboarding.

Account Growth & Retention:​ Collaborate closely with the Lane Manager to maintain and deepen relationships with key existing agents, implementing strategies to enhance loyalty, collaboration, and mutual business growth.

Commercial Coordination:​ Support the financial health of new partnerships by assisting in the timely follow-up and collection of Statements of Account (SOA), ensuring stable cash flow.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in international freight forwarding, in areas of sales, business development, or agency/channel management. Direct experience and an established network within the Indian logistics market, particularly in Chennai, Bangalore, or the broader South/East India region, is a significant advantage.

A proven track record of both acquiring new business partners and developing those relationships for sustained, long-term growth.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity and understanding of the local business landscape.

Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently with a hunter's mindset, while also being a strong collaborative team player.

Solid operational understanding of freight forwarding and basic financial processes.

Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Tamil or other relevant local languages is a strong plus.

This position is based in either Chennai or Bangalore. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to one of these cities.
