We are recruiting experienced Overhead Line Workers / HV Wiremen, HV Commissioning Technicians, and HV Electrical Fitters for long-term power transmission and substation projects across Scotland, United Kingdom.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals from the India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait with strong experience in high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects to build a long-term career in the UK power sector.

- National Grid infrastructure works
- 132kV – 400kV transmission projects
- Substation construction and upgrades
- Renewable energy grid connections
- Power distribution and reinforcement works
Key Responsibilities
Overhead Line Worker / HV Wireman
- Installation and maintenance of overhead transmission lines
- Tower erection, stringing, and hardware fitting
- Earthing and bonding installation
- Working safely at height on transmission structures
- Reading technical drawings and site instructions
HV Commissioning Technician / Engineer
- Relay testing and protection system commissioning
- Primary and secondary injection testing
- Inspection and verification of HV equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Commissioning documentation and reporting
HV Electrical Fitter / Substation Fitter
- Installation of HV substation equipment
- Transformer and switchgear installation
- Busbar assembly and alignment
- Cable glanding and termination
- Supporting commissioning teams during energisation
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience or recruitment-supported international project experience in HV transmission, substation, or power infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in transmission, substation, or HV electrical projects
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors / at height (role dependent)
- UAE experience preferred
English Language Requirement
- Good spoken and written English is required
- Candidates must be able to understand safety instructions clearly
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Basic ability to read and complete technical documentation in English is essential
Preferred Experience
- 132kV / 220kV / 400kV project experience
- GCC / Middle East utility or EPC project experience
- National Grid, DEWA, SEC, TRANSCO, ADNOC project background
- Experience with Siemens, ABB, Schneider, or GE systems
- ECS / CSCS or equivalent certifications
