We are looking for a results-driven Outreach Specialist who lives and breathes link building — someone who is actively executing day-to-day outreach campaigns, not just managing spreadsheets. This is a hands-on execution role with a growth track: you will own and expand our link acquisition strategy while also guiding a small team and managing select client relationships.
The ideal candidate is obsessed with white-hat link building, deeply familiar with today's AI-influenced search landscape (including AIO and LLM visibility signals), and self-sufficient enough to thrive in a fully remote environment without micromanagement.
Responsibilities :
- Research, pitch, and secure placements in curated listicles and roundup articles across relevant niches
- Submit and maintain accurate business citations across top-tier directories (Google Business, Yelp, Clutch, G2, industry-specific platforms)
- Execute digital PR campaigns including press release writing, newsjacking, and placement on authoritative media and news outlets
- Build and maintain a high-quality backlink pipeline using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Pitchbox, or BuzzStream
- Conduct regular link audits to disavow toxic links and protect domain health
- Contribute to content briefs and linkable asset creation (tools, studies, infographics) to support outreach
- AIO & LLM Visibility
- Understand how AI Overviews and LLM-driven results (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) are reshaping link value and citation patterns
- Build outreach strategies that target sources likely to be cited or referenced by AI systems
- Stay ahead of content formats and authority signals that improve brand mentions across AI-generated answers
- Team & Client Management
- Supervise and mentor other outreach analysts — assign tasks, review output, and ensure quality
- Conduct weekly syncs with the team and provide performance feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for select clients — prepare weekly/monthly reports, explain strategy, and manage expectations
- Coordinate with content, on-page SEO, and technical teams for integrated campaign execution
- Reporting & Strategy (good to have)
- Track and report KPIs: links acquired, domain authority distribution, anchor text diversity, traffic impact, and citation growth
- Prepare clear, client-friendly reports using Google Data Studio / Looker Studio or similar tools
- Recommend process improvements, new outreach verticals, and tooling to the team lead
Requirements :
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in link building and digital outreach (agency or in-house)
- Demonstrable expertise in listicle outreach, citation building, and digital PR — this must be something you are actively doing, not just have done in the past
- Strong familiarity with Google's core algorithm updates (Penguin, Helpful Content, SpamBrain, March 2024 Core Update, etc.) and their implications for link strategy
- Experience working in a fully remote setup with async tools (Slack, Teams, Loom, Trello/Asana)
- At least 6 months of experience managing a small team or overseeing junior team members
- Client-facing experience: ability to explain SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with outreach and SEO tools: Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, Hunter.io, Pitchbox, or equivalent
- Excellent written English communication skills for pitching editors and media contacts
- Understanding of E-E-A-T signals and how they relate to link authority in today's search environment
- Awareness of AIO (AI Overviews) and how structured authority signals are used by LLMs like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
- Have expertise in link building for various regions, mainly Australia, USA and Newzealand
- Knowledge of multiple verticals; e.g. e-commerce, B2C, B2B
- Go-getter attitude, persistent even after facing rejection.
- Strategic and creative thinker and problem solver; ability to think outside of the box.
- The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to take new initiatives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects and deliverables
