Role Overview
We are hiring an Outbound Growth Specialist to drive outbound growth for Steps AI, our agentic AI chatbot built for small and mid-sized businesses in North America.
This role is focused on building and optimizing cold email campaigns that generate qualified meetings with U.S. and Canadian SMBs.
You will work directly with founders on messaging, targeting, deliverability, and campaign strategy.
We are not looking for someone who just sends emails.
We are looking for someone who understands psychology, personalization, and pipeline impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage cold email campaigns targeting U.S. and Canadian SMBs
- Write high-converting email sequences (first touch to follow-ups)
- Research and segment lead lists based on industry, use case, and buyer persona
- Own deliverability, domain reputation, and inbox placement
- A/B test subject lines, messaging angles, CTAs, and personalization
- Track metrics like open rates, reply rates, meeting rates, and conversions
- Collaborate with founders to refine messaging and positioning
- Continuously improve targeting and campaign performance
- Use outreach tools like Apollo, Instantly, and HubSpot
What We're Looking ForMust-Have Skills
- 23 years of experience in B2B email marketing or outbound growth
- Strong copywriting skills for cold outreach
- Understanding of email deliverability and domain warm-up
- Experience running multi-step cold email sequences
- Ability to analyze campaign metrics and optimize performance
- Comfortable working U.S.-focused time zones (2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST)

- Experience in SaaS, AI, or tech products
