About The Role

The OU Category Head, Oral Health ISC is a senior leadership role with end‑to‑end category leadership of Haleon's largest and most strategically critical category in the India Subcontinent (ISC). Acting as a Category General Manager, the role leads the end‑to‑end Oral Health portfolio - including Sensodyne, Pronamel, Parodontax, implements and mouthwash - integrating brand, expert and digital teams within Haleon's category‑led operating model.

Oral Health represents the primary growth engine for the India business and is central to Haleon's long‑term ambitions in the market. The category is on a strong upward trajectory, expected to scale materially over the coming years and to become a significantly larger share of the overall India portfolio. India is also one of Haleon's most important Oral Health markets globally, with both scale and future growth potential positioning it as a critical contributor to the global category agenda.

The role reports to the ISC President, sits on the ISC OU Leadership Team, and represents ISC at the Global Category Table. It leads a team of approximately 50–80 across multiple brands and is accountable for category strategy, commercial performance delivery, innovation, brand activation, and long‑term category expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate global Oral Health strategy into clear, ISC‑specific category choices and activation plans, grounded in consumer, shopper, expert and market insight.
  • Lead category performance management, including target setting, forecasting, reviews and corrective actions, in close partnership with Commercial, Finance and Sales teams.
  • Shape the long‑term category roadmap, spanning portfolio design, penetration expansion and consumer journey development across premium, mainstream and entry‑level segments.
  • Govern investment prioritisation and guide resource allocation across brands, channels and markets to maximise effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Lead integrated brand activation across pricing, promotions, media, retail execution and digital commerce, localising global campaigns while protecting core brand equity.
  • Own and govern the ISC Oral Health innovation pipeline, partnering with Global Category, R&D and Supply Chain to accelerate delivery and ensure launch readiness.
  • Represent ISC in global forums, contributing market‑grounded perspectives to influence future category and innovation strategy.
  • Lead, develop and inspire senior brand leaders, building a high‑performing, agile and engaged organisation.
  • Influence cross‑functional partners across Sales, CommEx, Finance, Medical, Regulatory and Supply Chain through strong matrix leadership.

Basic Qualifications:


We are looking for professionals with these required experiences to achieve our goals:

  • 18–20+ years experience in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare, with strong strategic marketing, commercial and P&L accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large categories, multifunctional teams and complex matrix stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in end‑to‑end brand building, portfolio management, commercial execution and innovation leadership.
  • Experience working in highly dynamic, complex markets ideally within India or the broader ISC region.
  • Strong people leadership experience managing sizeable, senior teams.
  • Master's degree (MBA preferred) from a top‑tier business school (e.g. IIM Ahmedabad/ Bangalore/ Calcutta/ Lucknow, ISB or equivalent global institutions).
  • Early‑career experience at a top‑tier strategy consultancy (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain) is an advantage.
  • Senior marketing, category, commercial or GM experience at leading global FMCG companies is highly desirable.
  • International or global experience welcomed, provided there is strong understanding of - or ability to adapt quickly to - the Indian and ISC operating context.
