Job Description

  • Assess patients physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
  • Provide therapy to improve daily living skills (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, and writing
  • Work with individuals with conditions such as:
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder
    • Cerebral palsy
    • Developmental delay
    • Stroke
  • Implement sensory integration therapy and motor skill development activities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices
  • Train patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
  • Monitor progress and update treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, doctors, and educators

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles
  • Knowledge of sensory integration and motor development
  • Excellent observation and assessment skills
  • Patience, empathy, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create individualized therapy plans
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
