Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible OT Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theatre. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent team-management skills, and hands-on experience in OT administration and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre.
• Plan and coordinate OT schedules, surgeries, and staff allocation.
• Supervise and manage OT nurses, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure proper preparation of the OT before every procedure.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Ensure availability and proper maintenance of OT equipment, instruments, and consumables.
• Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing teams, and other departments.
• Monitor OT documentation, records, inventory, and stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Handle emergencies and resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Train, guide, and evaluate OT staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Monitor staff attendance, shift rosters, and manpower requirements.
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
• Support audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities within the OT.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and patient-friendly OT environment.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• B.Sc Nursing / GNM Nursing qualification.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably with significant experience in Operation Theatre management.
• Strong knowledge of OT procedures, infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
• Good leadership and team-management skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple surgeries and OT activities efficiently.
• Should be comfortable working in shifts and handling emergency situations.
