Role: Ortems Developer & Support Engineer
Required Technical Skill Set

Desired Competencies
- Hand on experience on
- Configure and customize DELMIA ORTEM planning and scheduling models
- Develop finite capacity schedules considering resources, constraints, setup times, and priorities
- Create and maintain planning scenarios and simulations
- Optimize production schedules for OTD, throughput, and resource utilization
- Integrate ORTEM with MES systems like Apriso, Siemens Opcenter for execution feedback
- Map orders, routings, BOMs, resources, constraints and calendars
- Handle real-time data exchange between planning (ORTEM) and execution (MES) and ERP (SAP) system
- Good understanding of MES concepts and manufacturing execution flows and exposer to shop floor process.
- Experience with ERP integration (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- Manufacturing KPIs
- Production planning & control
- Programming / scripting knowledge (ORTEM customization, SQL, Java or similar)
- Database knowledge (Oracle / SQL Server)
- Setup/changeover logic
- Report and dashboard creation for various functionalities like utilization, lead time and schedule adherence
- Must have excellent debugging and problem-solving skills for various scheduling issues caused due to various constraints and performance bottlenecks
- Excellent communication skills to work in a globally distributed team
- Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams successfully.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Good-to-Have
- Have part of at least 1 end to end APS implementations & support.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Well versed with deployment and release management processes
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
- Responsible for the design, configuration, development, and integration of DELMIA ORTEM Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) solutions with MES and ERP platforms.
- The position requires close collaboration with manufacturing, production planning, and IT teams to deliver optimized production schedules, ensure data integrity across systems, and enable real-time visibility of shop‑floor performance.
- The developer will also be involved in extending ORTEM capabilities, building custom logic, and supporting digital manufacturing initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Support various testing (FT/ UAT, SIT), conduct end user training, and post-go-live stabilization process (hyper care) of MES MOM solution
- Prepare technical documentation and user manual
- Create and configure reports and dashboard as per business requirements
