Oracle UCM / Oracle WebCenter Content Consultant
Location - Hyderabad (Work from Office)
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and support Oracle WebCenter Content / Oracle UCM solutions for enterprise content management use cases.
- Configure and manage content models, metadata, security groups, accounts, workflows, and document lifecycles within Oracle UCM.
- Develop and customize components, templates, check-in/check-out processes, content publishing flows, and integrations with upstream and downstream applications.
- Support content migration, archival, records management, and repository optimization activities.
- Work on role-based security, authentication/authorization integration, and access control design for sensitive business documents.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support defect resolution and performance improvement initiatives for WebCenter Content environments.
- Participate in requirement gathering, solution design workshops, documentation, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, architects, infrastructure teams, and offshore/onshore delivery teams to ensure stable and scalable content management solutions.
Required skills
- 5–8 years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years in Oracle UCM / Oracle WebCenter Content development or support.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle WebCenter Content / UCM 11g or 12c, including configuration and administration.
- Good understanding of:
- Metadata model design
- Security groups and accounts
- Workflows
- Content publishing
- Content migration and archiving
- Custom component creation
- Experience with one or more of the following: Core Java, JSP, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript.
- Experience integrating Oracle UCM / WCC with enterprise systems and identity/security services.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, defect handling, testing, deployment, and support processes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work directly with business users and technical stakeholders.
Preferred skills
- Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or environments with strict document governance and compliance expectations is preferred.
- Exposure to records management, digital asset management (IBR), or related Oracle WebCenter capabilities is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Oracle middleware, WebLogic, migration tools, and environment support is a plus.
- Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models and supporting US-based clients is desirable
