Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems including SuperCluster, Exadata, and OCI environments. The role involves managing, administering, and optimizing mission-critical infrastructure deployed at client premises in a 24x7 support model.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and manage Oracle SuperCluster, Exadata Database Machine, and Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments
  
• Perform lifecycle management including installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
  
• Manage and support:
  
  • Compute nodes
    
  • Storage cells
    
  • InfiniBand networking
    
  • Virtualization components in engineered systems
    
• Administer Oracle Solaris environments within SuperCluster platforms
  
• Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources:
  
  • Compute instances
    
  • Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN)
    
  • Block/Object Storage
    
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
    
• Provide support for OCI-based Exadata services
  
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and ensure high availability and performance
  
• Automate routine tasks using Shell scripting and Python
  
• Work closely with client teams to ensure SLA adherence and system reliability
  
• Participate in 24x7 on-call and shift rotations
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–10 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in:
  
  • Oracle SuperCluster
    
  • Oracle Exadata
    
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
    
• Strong expertise in Linux system administration
  
• Hands-on experience with:
  
  • Oracle Solaris administration
    
  • Exadata components (compute, storage, networking)
    
  • OCI services and architecture
    
• Knowledge of InfiniBand networking and virtualization concepts
  
• Scripting proficiency in Shell and/or Python
  
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  

Preferred Skills

• Oracle certifications in Exadata / OCI / Solaris
  
• Experience with automation tools and monitoring solutions
  
• Exposure to enterprise production environments with high availability requirements
  

Soft Skills
