We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle 19c, PL/SQL development, and the Oracle Exadata platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in database development, advanced performance tuning, and leveraging Exadata's capabilities to optimize database performance and scalability. Experience with Control-M, Shell scripting, and Python scripting for automation and operational efficiency will be highly valued.
Your tasks
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers in Oracle 19c environments
- Perform advanced database performance tuning and optimization, including SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and leveraging Exadata-specific features such as Smart Scan and Storage Indexes
- Manage and optimize Oracle Exadata systems to ensure high availability, scalability, and maximum performance
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to fully utilize the Oracle Exadata hardware and software stack
- Develop automation scripts using Shell and Python for database administration, monitoring, and batch processing
- Schedule, monitor, and manage batch jobs using Control-M
- Support database deployments, upgrades, and migrations on Oracle Exadata platforms
- Troubleshoot complex database performance, availability, and operational issues
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for database designs, performance tuning strategies, and automation processes
- Implement best practices for database backup, recovery, security, and overall Oracle Exadata administration
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience with Oracle Database 19c and PL/SQL development
- Expertise in Oracle Exadata architecture, including Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of SQL/PLSQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning
- Hands-on experience with Control-M for job scheduling and batch workload management
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python for database automation and operational support
- In-depth understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, backup, and recovery
- Experience with database deployments, upgrades, migrations, and production support
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills related to complex database issues
- Fluent English communication skills and experience collaborating with global teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Nice to have
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or relevant Exadata certification
- Experience with cloud database environments and hybrid architecture
- Knowledge of additional automation or orchestration tools
