Oracle L2 Support AP and Payments - Fnl with Tech Skills

Job Title: Oracle EBS L2 Functional Consultant along with good technical skills 

(Account Payables, Procurement & Payments, Cash Management, iSupplier). 

Role Overview: Oracle Functional Support Consultant provides second‑level 

functional support for financial modules across Account Payables, Procurement 

Payments, Cash Management and iSupplier. This includes technical trouble shooting 

of functional issues and also understanding the interfaces into AP and CM. This Role 

focuses on resolving functional break-fix incidents and data integrity issues, primarily 

by executing well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities 

include providing support during month-end close, assisting in smoke testing, 

performing in-depth root cause analysis for recurring & non-recurring issues, and 

supporting new enhancements/projects by taking knowledge transitions from the 

product teams, all while continuously identifying opportunities to automate these 

SOP-driven tasks. 

Key Responsibilities 

1.Act as L2 functional escalation point for Oracle Account Payables, Cash 

Management, Procurement, Payments, iSupplier modules. 

2.Analyse and resolve medium to complex functional issues that are reported by 

users or L1 support. 

3.Technical trouble shooting of functional issues and also understanding the 

interfaces into AP and CM. 

4.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and support permanent 

fixes. 

5.Resolve functional break-fix calls either permanently or by workaround 

6.Handle issues related to data in the production instance 

7.Follow up on Oracle SRs, patches, and issues to ensure resolution 

8.Conduct training for power users on the application and support functionalities 

9.Conduct root cause analysis and error detection/correction 

10.Provide 24/7 in-person or Zoom support for priority / critical day-to-day 

operational issues 

11.Provide 24/7 in-person or Zoom support for month-close activities 

12.Monitor integrations for data leakage and error handling 

13.Perform smoke testing after planned/unplanned system outages to ensure 

stability 

14.Resolve functional issues related to Oracle E-Business Suite modules such as: 

a.Account Payable operations, vendor management, invoice 

processing, payment lifecycles and financial and payment. 

b.Strong knowledge of P2P cycle, invoice matching, payment 

policies, and vendor management. 

c.AP Accounting. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

∙Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical 

experience. 

∙10–12 years of Oracle EBS R12 functional support experience. 

oStrong hands‑on expertise in P2P: Procurement, AP, Payments, CM 

and I Supplier. 

∙Deep understanding of end‑to‑end financial process flows and accounting 

impacts. 

∙Ability to perform RCA and functional troubleshooting independently. 

∙Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. 

∙Experience working in a 24x7 or enterprise support environment. 

∙Ability to work with cross-functional teams and escalate issues effectively.
