Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Oracle Hyperion Consultant to join our support team. The role will focus on providing
end-to-end support for Hyperion applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance for business-critical financial planning and reporting processes. The candidate will be responsible for
incident management, problem resolution, enhancements, and coordination with business users and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 functional and technical support for Oracle Hyperion applications (HFM, Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, DRM as applicable).
- Handle incident management, service requests (SRs), problem resolution, and minor enhancements.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring system availability and timely issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot consolidation, metadata, calculation, and integration issues.
- Monitor and support Hyperion application jobs, data loads, integrations, and security administration.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and provide permanent solutions.
- Work closely with business users (Finance/Accounting teams) to understand support requirements and ensure smooth financial reporting and planning cycles.
- Support patching, upgrades, and regression testing of Hyperion applications.
- Document standard operating procedures, functional design documents, and test scripts.
- Coordinate with Oracle Support (SRs) for critical application issues.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to business and IT teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 58 years of experience in Oracle Hyperion application support (functional/technical/techno-functional).
- Strong working knowledge of Hyperion modules such as:
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Hyperion Planning
- Essbase (calculation scripts, load rules, security)
- FDMEE for data integration
- Experience in production support/AMS projects with defined SLAs.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.
- Hands-on experience in metadata management, business rules, data loads, and security setup.
- Familiarity with Smart View, FR reports, and integrations with ERP (Oracle EBS/Fusion).
- Ability to use SQL queries for issue investigation and data validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work in a global, multi-time zone support model.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Hyperion DRM (Data Relationship Management).
- Experience with automation, scripting (VB, Python, Shell, MaxL) for Hyperion processes.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM as an added advantage.
