This role focuses on providing functional expertise, resolving complex production issues, supporting payroll execution cycles, and enabling customers to maximize adoption of Oracle Fusion Payroll Cloud solutions. The consultant will work closely with customers, product engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful ongoing payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle Fusion HCM modules, with primary focus on US & Canada Payroll, demonstrating strong expertise in configurations, setups, end-to-end business processes, and overall product capabilities within live production environments.

- Investigate payroll calculation discrepancies related to earnings, deductions, taxation, garnishments, balances, and statutory compliance requirements perform detailed root cause analysis and recommend scalable functional solutions aligned with Oracle best practices.
- Monitor Oracle Fusion HCM product roadmap, quarterly updates, and legislative payroll changes assess business impact and support customers in adopting updates effectively.
- Collaborate with customers, Product Development, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to diagnose application defects, validate configurations, and drive timely resolution of production issues.
- Implement approved configuration corrections, functional fixes, and minor enhancements while ensuring system stability and compliance with localization and regulatory requirements.
- Provide proactive support during critical payroll processing cycles to ensure operational continuity and successful payroll execution.
- Conduct configuration reviews, process optimization assessments, and health checks across Go-Live, Hypercare, and Steady-State support phases to maximize solution adoption and business value.
- Translate customer business challenges into functional recommendations and improvement roadmaps supporting long-term solution optimization.
- Develop and maintain solution documentation, knowledge articles, accelerators, and case updates within Oracle support systems.
- Mentor junior consultants, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to continuous capability development within the support organization.
- Ensure adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), operational metrics, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 12 years in Fusion HCM, with proven expertise in 2+ modules including setups, troubleshooting, and global deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of product roadmap, localizations, and trends strong problem-solving with real-world workaround experience.
- Excellent analytical skills, customer-facing communication, and Oracle certifications preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise or multi-legal employer payroll environments.

- US Federal, State, and Local payroll taxation
- Payroll elements, balances, and processing lifecycle
- Payroll reconciliation and balancing
- Retro processing and payroll corrections
