Position: Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Senior Consultant
Location: Hitech City, Hyderabad (On-site)
Job Summary
AppsTek Corp is seeking an experienced Oracle Financials Senior Consultant with 8–12 years of hands-on experience to join our growing Oracle Enterprise Applications practice.
This role is designed for a strong Oracle Financials functional professional who can go beyond implementation and configuration to understand customer business problems, lead consulting engagements, shape solutions, support pre-sales, and guide delivery teams toward successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and client executives, conducting discovery and solution workshops, challenging existing processes, recommending Oracle best practices, and translating business requirements into practical, scalable Oracle Financials solutions across Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Consulting & Problem Solving
- Engage directly with customers to understand business objectives, operational challenges, process gaps and transformation priorities.
- Conduct current-state assessments and identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization and optimization.
- Translate business problems into practical Oracle Financials solution options.
- Challenge requirements where appropriate and recommend Oracle standard capabilities and industry best practices.
- Define future-state business processes and solution approaches aligned with customer objectives.
- Help customers evaluate solution alternatives based on business value, complexity, cost and implementation considerations.
Solutioning & Pre-Sales
- Partner with sales and account teams during discovery and pre-sales engagements.
- Lead discovery calls, requirement discussions, solution workshops and executive presentations.
- Develop solution concepts, high-level architecture, scope assumptions, implementation approaches and roadmaps.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, estimates and solution presentations.
- Conduct Oracle Financials demonstrations aligned to customer business scenarios.
- Clearly articulate the business value, capabilities and expected outcomes of proposed solutions.
Oracle Financials Solution Architecture
- Own functional solution design across Oracle Financials and ensure alignment with end-to-end business processes.
- Guide implementation teams on complex functional decisions, configuration approaches and solution trade-offs.
- Promote adoption of Oracle standard functionality and minimize unnecessary customization.
- Design and review solutions across core Oracle Financials modules, including:
- General Ledger (GL): Chart of Accounts, multi-currency, intercompany accounting and financial reporting.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Invoice processing, payments, supplier processes and tax-related configurations.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Invoicing, receipts, credit management, collections and revenue-related processes.
- Cash Management (CM): Bank reconciliation, cash positioning and bank statement processing.
- Fixed Assets (FA): Asset additions, depreciation, retirements, asset books and accounting integration.
- Project Financial Management / Advanced Modules: Expenses, Fusion Accounting Hub (FAH) and Revenue Management are desirable.
Workshops & Delivery Assurance
- Lead discovery workshops, Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), design sessions and functional reviews.
- Review functional designs, configuration decisions, test scenarios and implementation deliverables.
- Support UAT and complex issue resolution.
- Provide functional guidance to implementation teams and participate in key delivery milestones.
- Support post-go-live stabilization and enhancement initiatives.
Integrations, Reporting & Data
- Provide functional guidance to technical teams on integrations, reporting and data migration requirements.
- Work with technical teams on FRS, Smart View, OTBI and BI Publisher reporting.
- Provide functional guidance for FBDI, ADFDI and other Oracle data migration approaches.
- Collaborate with integration teams working with external systems, banking platforms and legacy applications.
Practice Development
- Contribute to building and strengthening AppsTek's Oracle Financials consulting practice.
- Develop reusable solution patterns, templates, accelerators, assessment frameworks and best-practice assets.
- Support development of customer-facing solution collateral, presentations and case studies.
- Mentor functional consultants and contribute to Oracle delivery standards and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to expand Oracle Financials capabilities within existing and new customer accounts.
Oracle Transformation & AI Activation
- Stay aware of Oracle's evolving automation, analytics and AI capabilities relevant to Financials.
- Identify practical opportunities where automation, AI or intelligent capabilities can improve selected financial processes.
- Support customer discussions around AI activation within Oracle business processes where there is a clear business case.
- Work with AppsTek's broader AI and technology teams when AI-enabled solutions are appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Oracle Financials applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and/or Oracle EBS.
- Deep functional expertise across core modules such as GL, AP, AR, CM and FA.
- Proven experience participating in or leading end-to-end Oracle implementations.
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, consulting and pre-sales solutioning.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Close and Intercompany.
- Ability to understand complex customer problems and translate them into practical Oracle solutions.
- Strong experience conducting client workshops, requirement discussions and solution presentations.
- Good understanding of FBDI, ADFDI, reporting and integration concepts.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, sales teams and delivery teams.
- Experience working with US or global enterprise customers is preferred.
- Oracle Cloud Financials certification is preferred.
- Exposure to Oracle automation, analytics or AI capabilities is an advantage.
- Experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, Energy & Utilities or other complex enterprise environments is preferred.
