Role: Oracle Financials Solution Architect

Experience: 10 - 13 Years

Location: Bangalore (Jayanagar)

1. Role Overview

The Senior Principal Consultant will serve as a Solution Architect for Oracle Financials and Project Portfolio Management (PPM), with strong hands-on functional experience across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle E-Business Suite.

The role requires proven experience in solution architecture, delivery ownership, direct client interaction, stakeholder communication, and complex problem solving across large-scale global Oracle ERP programs.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Solution Architecture

• Lead end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle EBS implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation programs across Financials and PPM modules
• Own solution architecture, functional design, delivery planning, and execution governance aligned with enterprise standards and client objectives
• Act as a Functional Solution Architect and trusted client-facing SME for complex business scenarios
• Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, high-performance, and business-aligned Oracle ERP solutions with clear ownership of outcomes

B. Client Engagement & Consulting

• Engage with global clients to:
• Gather and analyse business requirements
• Conduct workshops, CRPs, and design sessions
• Translate business needs into functional and technical solution designs
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
• Present solution architecture, proposals, and roadmap to leadership teams

C. Implementation & Delivery Governance

• Own lifecycle activities:
• Requirement gathering → Design → Build → Test (SIT/UAT) → Go-Live → Support
• Lead:
• Data migration and reconciliation
• RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) design
• Ensure adherence to:
• Project timelines
• Quality standards
• Risk mitigation and issue resolution

D. Complex Problem Solving

• Resolve:
• Complex accounting and project accounting challenges
• Integration and data inconsistencies
• Provide innovative solutions leveraging:
• Standard EBS capabilities
• Custom extensions where required
• Lead root cause analysis for critical production issues

E. Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead and mentor functional consultants and cross-functional teams
• Provide guidance on:
• Best practices
• Solution design standards
• Drive knowledge sharing across teams

Client Interaction, Communication & Consulting Skills

• Excellent:
• Direct client interaction experience with business users, IT teams, senior stakeholders, and program leadership
• Very good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex Oracle Financials and PPM solutions clearly
• Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, requirement clarification, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience working with global clients, onsite-offshore delivery models, and preferably prior onsite client-facing experience

Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking & Delivery Leadership

• Ability to:
• Analyse complex, ambiguous business problems across Oracle Financials and PPM and convert them into practical solution options
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills in high-pressure delivery environments
• Lead issue resolution, design trade-off discussions, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment with client and delivery teams
