Oracle Flexcube Support Specialist (Core Banking)

General description:

Expertise in supporting and maintaining Oracle Flexcube core banking platforms within large-scale banking environments. The role focuses on ensuring operational stability, system reliability, and performance of production core banking systems across global banking operations.

Involvement in supporting enterprise-grade core banking production environments, troubleshooting complex issues across application, database, and integration layers, and collaborating closely with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to maintain high availability and performance of banking systems.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the core banking ecosystem while supporting ongoing core banking transformation initiatives within a multinational banking environment.

Nature of the tasks:

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Flexcube core banking systems ensuring high system availability and operational stability
• Investigate and resolve application, database, and integration issues affecting core banking operations
• Monitor production environments, logs, and batch processes to ensure smooth execution of banking transactions
• Support End-of-Day (EOD) and operational batch processes within the core banking environment
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring production issues
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and architecture teams to resolve system issues and improve platform stability
• Support deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes related to core banking applications
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and distributed implementation teams across multiple regions
• Maintain documentation, incident reports, and operational procedures for core banking systems
• Assist in improving monitoring, automation, and operational processes to enhance system reliability

Educational qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Technical expertise:

With focus on:

• Oracle Flexcube Core Banking platform
• Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Core banking modules including general ledger, payments, deposits, and account management
• Application troubleshooting across application, database, and integration layers
• Unix/Linux environments and application monitoring tools
• Production support processes including incident management, root cause analysis, and system monitoring
• Understanding of enterprise banking systems and distributed banking platforms

Professional experience:

• Minimum 710 years of experience in:
• Core banking environments within banks or financial institutions
• Supporting Oracle Flexcube production systems
• Application support, production support, or core banking operations roles
• Working with distributed teams supporting global banking platforms
• Troubleshooting enterprise financial systems and large-scale production environments

Language skills:

Strong command of English (spoken and written).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex production environments

Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple system layers and identify root causes

Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical banking systems

Strong collaboration skills when working with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams
