Oracle EPM/EPBCS Team Lead

Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM/EPBCS Team Lead with 12+ years of experience in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, with strong expertise in EPBCS Financials and Workforce Planning. The candidate will lead end-to-end implementations and support engagements, providing functional and technical leadership across planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, integrations, and application support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 4–5 end-to-end Oracle EPBCS implementations, primarily across Financial Planning and Workforce Planning.
  • Own the complete project lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Design and configure EPBCS Financial Planning solutions covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, budgets, forecasts, and financial drivers.
  • Design and configure Workforce Planning models covering headcount, salaries, benefits, bonuses, merit increases, taxes, employee expenses, and workforce drivers.
  • Conduct workshops with Finance, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable EPBCS solutions.
  • Configure dimensions, metadata, forms, dashboards, Smart Lists, validations, security, and business rules.
  • Develop and optimize Groovy scripts, Calculation Manager rules, and calculation logic to automate processes and improve performance.
  • Design workforce models supporting new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, employee movements, and compensation planning.
  • Develop financial planning models for revenue, expenses, allocations, assumptions, and forecasting.
  • Lead EPBCS integrations with ERP, HCM, HR, and other enterprise systems using Oracle Data Integration/Data Management.
  • Manage data migration, metadata loading, historical data migration, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and business sign-off.
  • Configure security, user access, approval workflows, substitution rules, and role-based access controls.
  • Manage dependencies and data flows across Workforce, Financials, Projects, Capital, and other EPBCS modules.
  • Troubleshoot complex calculation, integration, data, security, and performance issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Optimize application performance by tuning business rules, Groovy scripts, forms, and calculations.
  • Lead and mentor onshore/offshore EPM teams and ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Provide post-go-live support, knowledge transfer, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the transition of implemented solutions to the application support/operations team.

Required Technical Skills

  • 12+ years of overall experience in Oracle EPM / Enterprise Performance Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPBCS.
  • Extensive expertise in EPBCS Financials and Workforce Planning.
  • Experience leading multiple end-to-end EPBCS implementations.
  • Strong understanding of planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and workforce planning.
