Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle EBS Technical Consultant with strong expertise in RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) to support a complex Oracle EBS R12.2.x environment. The role will focus on L2/L3 defect analysis, production support, and integration troubleshooting across SCM and Finance modules. This is a hands-on technical role, requiring deep skills in PL/SQL, Oracle APIs, debugging, and working with functional teams to resolve incidents and defects in business-critical processes.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in end-to-end technical architecture, performance diagnostics, and integration troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve complex issues across production and non-production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 technical support and defect resolution for custom RICEW components across SCM (Order Management, Inventory, Procurement, WMS) and Finance (AR, AP, GL, FA).
- Troubleshoot and fix issues in:
- Custom Reports (Oracle Reports, BI Publisher).
- Custom Interfaces with 3PL, Retail, WMS, banking, and external systems.
- Conversions and data load processes (bulk inserts, validations, staging tables).
- Extensions using PL/SQL packages, Forms Personalizations, OAF.
- Workflows for order processing, approvals, and notifications.
- Investigate data discrepancies, integration failures, and custom code bugs using PL/SQL, logs, and debug tools.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to data integrity, duplicate records, stuck transactions, and incorrect postings across modules.
- Maintain custom APIs, triggers, procedures, and views.
- Monitor and improve performance of custom code through AWR/ASH analysis, SQL tuning, and indexing strategies.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business impact and translate into technical resolution steps.
- Perform code corrections, unit testing, and deployment preparation for production-safe fixes.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop reusable fix patterns or automation.
- Support batch job failures, concurrent program performance issues, and custom object dependency resolution.
- Participate in incident triage, work with middleware, DBA, and infra teams to resolve upstream/downstream failures.
- Handle ticketing via ServiceNow, ensuring SLA compliance and knowledge base updates.
- Maintain and enhance documentation for custom components and their dependencies across business flows.
- Manage inbound and outbound integrations with 3PL, Retail, WMS, banking, and external SaaS systems.
- Maintain source control, migration scripts, and patch impact assessments (via tools like STAT or manual analysis).
- Document all changes; ensure version-controlled, audit-ready artifacts.
Technical Skills Required
- Deep hands-on experience in:
- PL/SQL, SQL, APIs (standard & custom)
- Oracle Reports, BI Publisher
- Oracle Forms, Oracle Workflow
- OAF (Oracle Application Framework), ADF (preferred)
- Strong understanding of EBS data models across:
- SCM: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Shipping, Inventory, BOM, WMS
- Finance: AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets
- Experience in debugging interface failures using logs, tables, and SOA trace (if applicable)
- Experience in file-based interfaces (CSV/XML/Flat Files), FTP/SFTP, SOAP/REST APIs
- Familiarity with middleware (Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, WebLogic) for integration troubleshooting
- Skilled in concurrent manager and debugging issues with concurrent programs
- Business & Domain Exposure:
- Strong understanding of EBS data models and transaction flows in:
- Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Inventory & WMS
- Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Assets
- Functional awareness to interact effectively with business/functional teams
- Knowledge of multi-org, localization, and multi-currency setups
