Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2
Process Manufacturing (OPM) Functional Consultant to support and enhance business operations in a jewellery manufacturing environment.
The role involves implementing, configuring, and supporting OPM modules aligned with complex manufacturing processes such as
precious metal handling, batch processing, purity management, and wastage control.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Implementation & Support
- Lead implementation and support of Oracle EBS R12.2 Process Manufacturing (OPM) modules
- Configure and support:
- OPM Product Development (Formulas, Recipes)
- Process Execution (Batch Processing)
- Inventory & Quality Management
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Jewellery Manufacturing Process Alignment
- Understand and map jewellery-specific manufacturing processes, including:
- Gold/Silver purity tracking (karat management)
- Wastage and recovery processes
- Stone and component tracking
- Support lot/grade-based inventory and Cost management
- Business Process Optimization
- Analyze current processes and recommend improvements
- Ensure alignment between manufacturing, inventory, costing, and finance modules
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements
- Integration & Cross-Module Coordination
- Work closely with other modules:
- Oracle Inventory
- Cost Management
- Purchasing
- Order Management
- Collaborate with technical teams for:
- Customizations
- Reports (BI/XML)
- Interfaces
- Testing & Documentation
- Prepare:
- Functional Design Documents (FDD)
- Test Scripts and UAT Scenarios
- Conduct:
- Unit Testing
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- End User Training & Support
- Conduct training sessions for business users
- Provide post-go-live support
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams
Core Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Oracle EBS R12.2 OPM modules
- Hands-on experience in:
- Formulas & Recipes
- Batch Processing
- Yield & Loss Management
- Strong understanding of Inventory and Costing integration
Domain Knowledge (Highly Preferred)
- Experience in Jewellery Manufacturing Industry
- Knowledge of:
- Precious metal accounting
- Karat/purity handling
- Scrap, wastage, and recovery cycles
Technical & Functional Skills
- Ability to prepare functional documents (BRD, FDD)
- Exposure to:
- Interfaces & conversions
- Functional design for Reports
- Basic understanding of Oracle SQL (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 5–10 years of Oracle EBS Functional experience
- At least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations/support projects in OPM
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work with plant teams and business users
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Commerce / Science
- MBA or relevant certifications preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-plant manufacturing environments
- Exposure to Oracle EBS R12.1 to R12.2 upgrades
- Experience in regulatory compliance in precious metals industry
