Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Oracle EBS Functional professional with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS (Version 10.2.10). The candidate will provide day-to-day functional support to internal users, coordinate with external Oracle EBS consultants, and ensure timely resolution of application issues. The role requires strong functional knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to understand and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular functional support to internal users for Oracle EBS applications.
- Analyze and resolve day-to-day Oracle EBS functional issues.
- Maintain and monitor the issue tracker, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of incidents.
- Gather and document business requirements from various departments.
- Explain business requirements clearly to external Oracle EBS consultants and coordinate development/customization activities.
- Validate delivered solutions through functional testing and obtain business user acceptance.
- Prepare functional documents, test cases, and user manuals whenever required.
- Coordinate with business users and technical consultants to ensure smooth implementation of enhancements and bug fixes.
- Support period-end activities and ensure smooth business operations.
- Assist in user training and process improvement initiatives.
Required Functional Knowledge
Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS Version 10.2.10 with knowledge of the following modules:
- Purchasing
- Discrete Manufacturing
- Order Management (OM)
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Finance (AP, AR & GL – basic functional understanding)
Integration & API Knowledge
- Basic understanding of API integration between Oracle EBS and third-party applications.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, request/response structures, and API authentication mechanisms.
- Experience in validating and testing API integrations using tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
- Ability to understand functional integration requirements and coordinate with technical teams for implementation.
- Familiarity with interface files, data mapping, payload validation, and troubleshooting integration issues will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Oracle EBS business processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Experience in requirement gathering, functional testing, and issue resolution.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Commerce Graduate (B.Com/M.Com) preferred.
- 3–4 years of relevant Oracle EBS Functional Consulting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or retail organizations will be an added advantage.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong customer-service orientation.
