Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Development: Design and implement scalable and secure Oracle database solutions, ensuring high availability and performance. Create and optimize database objects, including tables, indexes, views, sequences, and materialized views.
- Data Integration and ETL Processes: Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into the Oracle ecosystem. Ensure data pipelines are efficient, reliable, and compliant with data governance policies.
- Data Governance and Quality: Define and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. Develop and implement data security measures, including access control, encryption, and backup policies.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and tune database performance, including query optimization and index creation. Monitor and troubleshoot slow-running queries and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with application developers to support backend development and integration. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide database solutions.
- Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation for database designs, processes, and standards. Train team members and stakeholders on the use of Oracle tools and data architecture guidelines. Stay current with modern information architecture principles and emerging Oracle technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8-10 yrs of total experience with minimum 2 -5 yrs of proven experience as an Oracle Developer, with a strong focus on database architecture and strategy.
- 3+ years of experience with Big Data technologies and cloud solutions.
- Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Deep understanding of Oracle database technologies, including RAC, Data Guard, partitioning and implementing enterprise level data solutions on Oracle platform.
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based data solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Oracle BI Publisher or third-party reporting platform
- Certification in Oracle Database or related technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong coding skills in at least one modern programming language.
