Job Title: Oracle Developer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+

Mode of Work : Hybrid

Job Type : Contract to hire.

Notice Period: Immediate joiners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Perl scripts to automate processes and data integration tasks.
  • Design and implement efficient SQL queries for interacting with Oracle databases.
  • Collaborate with the database team to optimize and troubleshoot complex database queries.
  • Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, procedures, and triggers in Oracle.
  • Write complex PL/SQL procedures and functions to support application functionalities.
  • Perform database performance tuning and query optimization in Oracle environments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues with Perl scripts and Oracle database queries.
  • Write clear documentation for Perl scripts, database schemas, and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Maintain, test, and upgrade existing Perl and Oracle-based applications.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Perl programming (including experience with Perl modules and frameworks).
  • Solid experience with Oracle databases, including database design, optimization, and tuning.
  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing data transformations.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data integration techniques, APIs, and batch processing.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard.
  • Knowledge of Web Services and integration techniques.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Oracle SQL Developer, Toad, or PL/SQL Developer.
