Primary Title: Oracle Database Administrator

We deliver secure, highly available Oracle database platforms and disaster-recovery solutions for large-scale production environments. This role is on-site in India and is ideal for hands-on DBAs who thrive on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of Oracle databases: install, configure, patch, and harden production and non-production instances.
- Design, implement and operate high-availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard) and perform failover/drill validation for DR readiness.
- Lead backup and recovery strategy using RMAN; build and validate recovery procedures and retention policies.
- Perform proactive performance tuningSQL tuning, instance and storage optimization, and capacity planning.
- Maintain ASM storage, manage space allocation, and coordinate storage changes with infrastructure teams.
- Develop automation scripts, runbooks and monitoring playbooks; troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause remediation.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven production experience administering Oracle databases (12c/18c/19c) and performing patching/migrations.
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard for HA/DR architectures.
- Strong backup and recovery skills using RMAN and validated recovery procedures.
- Experience managing ASM and database storage subsystems.
- Performance tuning capabilities: SQL tuning, optimizer statistics, wait-event analysis, and AWR/ASH interpretation.
- Familiarity with PL/SQL and scripting for automation (shell, SQL*Plus, or similar).
Preferred
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate or other replication technologies.
- Exposure to Exadata platforms and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) database services.
- Oracle certifications (OCP) or equivalent technical credentials.
