We're looking for an Oracle DBA Subcontractor with 8-10 years of total experience and 5-8 years of direct experience in Oracle DBA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performance monitoring and tuning, database management, and ensuring the security and availability of Oracle systems. You'll also play a key role in infrastructure maintenance and collaboration with development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Performance & Tuning: Conduct performance monitoring and tuning of database systems to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness.
- Database Management: Handle comprehensive DB management, including yearly archival processes.
- Infrastructure & Server Maintenance: Support infra maintenance and MS Servers management, including quarterly Windows server patching.
- Installation & Configuration: Perform installations and configurations of database software.
- Backup & Restoration: Manage backups and restoration of critical data to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security management of databases to protect sensitive information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to design and develop databases that align with application requirements.
- Routine Administration: Perform routine administrative tasks such as space management, database stop/start procedures, and Upgrade/Patching activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8-10 years of total experience in IT.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Strong expertise in performance monitoring and tuning of Oracle database systems.
- Proficient in overall Oracle database management, including yearly archival processes.
- Experience with infrastructure maintenance and MS Servers management, including quarterly Windows server patching.
- Demonstrated experience in installing and configuring Oracle database software.
- Proven ability to perform backups and restoration of critical data.
- Solid understanding and practical experience in security management of databases.
- Experience collaborating with development teams on database design and development.
- Skilled in space management, database stop/start procedures, and Upgrade/Patching activities for Oracle.
