The L3 Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for providing advanced operational and technical support for mission-critical Oracle database environments. The role focuses on stability, performance optimization, availability, and proactive issue prevention across production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L3 support for Oracle Database (12c/19c and above) in production environments
Lead complex incident resolution, RCA, and performance troubleshooting
Manage backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability configurations (RAC, Data Guard)
Perform database upgrades, patching, and security hardening
Drive SQL tuning and capacity planning initiatives
Ensure compliance with support, security, and audit requirements
Collaborate with L1/L2 teams, application teams, and Oracle Support
Participate in on-call and critical change activities
Required Skills
Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration (SE2/EE)
Hands-on experience with RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN
Proficiency in SQL tuning and performance diagnostics
Experience with OEM / EM monitoring and alerting
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix platforms
Experience
6-10 years of relevant Oracle DBA experience
Prior experience in managed services or regulated environments preferred
