Job Description:
Senior Oracle DBA with Automation Experience
- 15 to 18 years of total experience.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible and scripting languages like Python or Shell to automate.
- Strong hands-on experience in developing and deploying automation scripts with Ansible. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, playbooks, and best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools like Git to store automation scripts.
- Ansible-vault experience to secure passwords.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to design efficient database architectures and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation implementations and database performance, performing root cause analysis when necessary.
- Database installation, configuration, and patching.
- Provisioning of new database environments, Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing procedures.
- OKV Key management and administration.
- Hands-on experience in using roles, handlers.
- Understanding of Exadata Architecture
- Strong Oracle database Administration skills in Exadata environment from 19c to 23ai.
- Implementation experience of Exadata maintenance including grid, VM and RDBMS.
- Understanding of CELLCLI and DCLI
- Performance tuning of Exadata component and databases.
- Understanding of Cell Storage software and other key components of Exadata.
- Well versed with RMAN backup and recovery.
- Experience of database migration from non-Exadata to Exadata and on-prem to cloud regions.
- Data guard Configuration, implementation, and administration (Physical/logical)
- Create physical/logical standby databases and manage sync.
- Experience in database cutover and assisting application configuration/setup.
- Set up backups to ZDLRA and compute storage.
- Managing and rotating keys in Oracle Key Vault (OKV)
- Experience in ASM management, disk configuration and replacing faulty disks working with Oracle.
- Experience in ASR implementation and configuration
- Exadata bundle patching includes Storage cell, DB server, PDUs and network switches.
- Creating Unix shell scripts to automate operational and engineering activities as per requirement.
- Database refresh (RMAN cloning, Logical)
- Server build, RAC Installation and configuration.
