Oracle Database Administrator

Job Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administrator will be providing technical and operational support for activities of Database Servers including installation troubleshooting performance monitoring tuning and optimizing

Minimum Two 2 years of experience with Oracle version 12c19c and onwards

Minimum Two 2 years of experience with Oracle Exadata RAC and ASM

Minimum Two 2 years of experience with Oracle Upgrade process

Minimum Two 2 years of experience with patching the Oracle Database

Install monitor and maintain Oracle implement monitoring and ing implement backup and recovery processes provide system and level 1 of SQL performance tuning

Working with Oracle support for resolving urgent and priority incidents

Participate in the creation of development staging and production database instances and the migration from one environment to another

Hands on experience in regular maintenance on databases eg table reorganization Reindexing Archiving

Handson knowledge in proactive remediation of database operational problems

Ability to proactively identify troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues

Good understanding of Change Management incident Management and service management

Oracle Golden Gate JD P2

Install and administer Oracle GoldenGate Classic Microservices

Manage Extract Data Pump and Replicat processes

Replication Performance

oMonitor replication

oLag latency data divergence

oTroubleshooting ABENDS trail file issues checkpoint issues

Operations Support Important for P2P3

oProvide 24x7 production support oncall rotation

oAnalyse logs and resolve incidents proactively

Required Secondary Database Skill SQL Server Administration P2 Level

Installing configuring managing monitoring and troubleshooting SQL 2012 through SQL 20192022

Min 2 years of experience in SQL Server Upgrade process

Installing Service Packs Cumulative Updates Hotfixes

UpgradingMigrating SQL Server from older versions to latest versionseditions

Creating and Configuring Databases as per requirement of Application Teams Performing Online Index Rebuild and ensuring weekend Index rebuild jobs succeed

Creating and configuring Schema User windows and SQL Authentication Roles Linked Servers diff source and destination Backup Restore and Recovery Models

Log Shipping Scenarios failover Switchover troubleshooting scenarios

Configuring AlwaysOn AG on standalone instances

Configuring Replication type Transactional Snapshot Merge

Understanding of Advanced SQL Server Architecture Relational Storage Engines

Troubleshooting Database slow performance situations

Monitoring and checking top wait types in SQL Server

Resolving Blockings and Deadlocks using Extended Events and giving recommendations on Isolation Levels Indexes to avoid minimize blockings deadlocks

Understanding of Locks also enabling disabling lock escalation on tables as per necessity

Handling space management issues like Log File Full Data File Full TEMPDB Full

Exploring and understanding SQL Server New features implementation

Desirable Secondary Skills

Experience with other RDBMS databases like DB2 MySQL PostgreSQL etc

Familiarity with database migration tools and ETL processes
