Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage Oracle Database environments (production and non-production),
  • Database Installation and Configuration: Setting up and configuring Oracle databases according to specific requirements.
  • Backup and Recovery: Implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage back-ups and recovery procedures, troubleshooting problems
  • Performance Tuning: Optimizing database performance through tuning, indexing, and other techniques.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Database Patching
  • Database Migration
  • Database Monitoring
  • High Availability (Always on and Mirroring and Replication)

Other Required Skills

  • Linux: Understanding of Linux operating systems: Knowledge in Linux commands, file systems, and system administration tools.
  • Scripting: Ability to write scripts in languages like Bash or Python to automate tasks.
  • Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues.

Good to have: Cloud platform Experience

  • AWS & Azure Cloud
