Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Data Conversion Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data migration and conversion within Oracle Cloud environments. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful transfer and transformation of data from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data conversion projects, including planning, execution, and post-conversion validation.
- Develop and implement data migration strategies and methodologies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and mapping specifications.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to prepare data for migration.
- Utilize Oracle Cloud tools and technologies to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues during the conversion process.
- Document data conversion processes, mapping documents, and technical specifications.
- Conduct testing and validation of converted data to ensure compliance with business requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on data-related processes and tools.
- Stay updated on Oracle Cloud developments and best practices in data management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data conversion, data migration, or data management, specifically within Oracle Cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud applications and data structures.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices is a plus.
