Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle APEX Developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Oracle technologies to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and APEX development, along with experience integrating applications with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Cloud ERP systems.
This role requires a professional who can translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Oracle APEX.
- Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Build interactive reports, dashboards, charts, and data-driven forms in APEX.
- Design responsive and user-friendly UI using APEX Universal Theme and custom UI components.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based security within APEX applications.
- Integrate applications with external systems using RESTful services and ORDS.
- Work with Oracle Database (12c, 19c or higher) for schema design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Develop integrations with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and other ERP modules.
- Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of applications and database objects.
- Implement best practices for secure coding, application performance, and database management.
- Use version control systems (Git or equivalent) for code management and collaboration.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical documentation, application support, and knowledge transfer when required.
- Collaborate with functional teams, DBAs, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- 7+ years of experience working with Oracle technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX (19.x or above preferred).
- Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Experience with Oracle Database 12c / 19c or higher.
- Strong knowledge of APEX security model, including authentication and authorization.
- Experience building interactive reports, dashboards, charts, and forms.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Familiarity with APEX Universal Theme and UI customization.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Knowledge of ERP data models such as Inventory, Work in Process (WIP), Procurement, and Finance.
- Experience integrating Oracle APEX applications with Oracle Cloud ERP or other enterprise systems.
- Understanding of performance tuning and database optimization techniques.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for UI customization in APEX.
- Familiarity with data migration, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
