Job Description: Oracle Absence Management Functional Consultant
Role Overview:
The Oracle Absence Management Functional Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and supporting Oracle HCM Cloud - Absence Management module. The consultant will work with HR and Payroll teams to implement absence policies, quotas, and integrations as per client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementation & Configuration
Gather business requirements for Leave, Absence, and Time Off policies
Configure Absence Types, Absence Plans, Eligibility Profiles, and Accrual Plans in Oracle HCM CloudSet up Absence Entry, Approval workflows, and Notifications
Configure Carryover, Proration, Partial Days, and Negative Balance rules
2. Integration & Data
Work with Technical team for integrations with Payroll, Time & Labor, and 3rd party systems
Support FBDI/Bulk data loads for absence balances and history
Handle HCM Extracts, OTBI/BIP reports for Absence data
3. Testing & Support
Write and execute Test Scenarios, UAT scripts, and Training documents
Support SIT, UAT, and Go-live activities
Provide L2/L3 support post go-live. Resolve tickets related to absence calculations, balance issues, and workflow errors
Troubleshoot issues in Accruals, Entitlements, and Payroll interface
4. Client Interaction
Conduct workshops to understand AS-IS and define TO-BE processes
Create BRD, Functional Specs, and Configuration documents
Train HR Admins and End users on Absence self-service
Required Skills & Experience:
Must Have: 5+ years in Oracle Absence Management
Hands-on in: Absence Plans, Elements, Accrual Formula, Eligibility, Fast Formula
Good understanding of HCM Data Model and how Absence integrates with Payroll & Time
Experience in FBDI, OTBI Reporting, and Approval Workflow setup
Good to Have: Oracle HCM Cloud Certification in Absence Management
Knowledge of Oracle Time & Labor and Payroll
Experience with Redwood UI and HCM Configurator
Knowledge of Compliance rules: FMLA, PTO policies, Country-specific leave laws
