Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bengaluru. This is a part-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in eye disease diagnosis and treatment using advanced techniques and technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with surgical tools used in ophthalmic procedures to ensure high precision and patient safety.
  • Experience in performing LASIK and PRK procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Expertise in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate patient history and data management.
  • Familiarity with corneal topography to assess the condition and needs of patients effectively.
  • Skilled in administering intravitreal injections for treating conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
  • OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) expertise for detailed retina examination (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in retinal imaging techniques essential for diagnosing retinal disorders (Mandatory skill).
  • Eye disease diagnosis with comprehensive approaches for patient-centered care (Mandatory skill).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose vision problems and eye diseases accurately.
  • Perform corrective surgeries, including LASIK, PRK, and other refractive procedures as needed.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Utilize advanced imaging techniques and tools for effective diagnosis and management of eye conditions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about treatment options and eye health.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in ophthalmology to offer state-of-the-art care.
