Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and assessments to diagnose conditions.
- Perform a variety of ophthalmic surgeries including Phacoemulsification and SICS.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients needs and conditions.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic technology and equipment to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Monitor patients post-surgery to assess recovery and manage any complications.
- Provide expert consultations to general practitioners and refer patients as necessary.
- Keep detailed and accurate medical records of patient treatments and outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and surgical techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in clinical research and trials to contribute to the field of ophthalmology.
- Educate patients and their families on eye health, conditions, and treatments.
- Attend medical conferences to enhance knowledge and network with peers.
- Assist in training junior staff and residents in surgical techniques and patient care.
- Ensure compliance with medical guidelines and hospital policies.
- Maintain a safe and sanitized work environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Ophthalmology (DOMS/MS).
- Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist in a clinical setting.
- Expertise in Phacoemulsification and SICS techniques.
- Strong understanding of ocular diseases and treatment protocols.
- Excellent clinical assessment and surgical skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Registration with the Medical Council of India.
- Knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
