Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract, Glaucoma, and Retina Care to join our hospital on a part-time contractual basis. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical judgment, surgical expertise, and the ability to independently manage ophthalmic consultations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

a. Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic disorders and vision-related conditions

b. Perform cataract evaluations and cataract surgeries independently

c. Diagnose and treat glaucoma-related conditions and provide long-term patient management

d. Conduct retina examinations and manage retina-related procedures and treatments

e. Handle general ophthalmology OPD consultations and routine eye care services

f. Recommend appropriate treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up protocols

g. Maintain accurate patient records, case documentation, and treatment histories

h. Guide patients regarding post-operative care and recovery management

i. Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth and high-quality patient care delivery

j. Adhere to medical ethics, clinical standards, and healthcare regulations

Required Qualifications

a. MBBS with MS / MD / DNB in Ophthalmology

b. Strong specialization and hands-on experience in:

• Cataract
• Glaucoma
• Retina
• c. Minimum 10 years of relevant clinical and surgical experience
• d. Valid medical registration/license to practice
• e. Excellent diagnostic, surgical, and patient communication skills

Preferred Skills

a. Ability to independently manage OPD consultations and surgeries

b. Strong patient-first approach with ethical medical practice

c. Experience working with advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment

d. Ability to contribute toward the growth and reputation of a startup healthcare setup
