Operations Team Lead
A leading European manufacturer establishing its India shared-services centre
Location: Remote (India)
The shared-services floor you would lead
A European manufacturer is building out its India shared-services centre and has engaged Flexiple to place the team lead who will run one of its frontline operations pods from day one. The centre is past its first hiring wave and is now adding a management layer between individual contributors and the operations manager, so this is a seat with real people-management scope rather than a title change on an existing job.
Running the pod
Shift and people management
- Supervise a pod of eight to twelve operations executives across shifts
- Own daily huddles, attendance, and workload distribution
- Coach new joiners and handle first-line performance conversations
- Escalate to the operations manager only what genuinely needs escalating
Quality and reporting
- Track SLA and quality metrics for the pod and flag slippage early
- Maintain SOPs and update them as processes change
- Run root-cause checks on recurring errors and fix the process, not just the ticket
- Prepare the daily and weekly reporting the operations manager reviews
What gets you shortlisted
- 3 to 7 years in operations, shared services, or business-process roles, including at least one year supervising a small team
- Comfort reading SLA and quality dashboards and acting on them
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for shift and metric tracking
- Clear spoken and written English for cross-shift handovers
A step up if you have it
- Exposure to a manufacturing or shared-services environment
- Familiarity with ticketing or workforce-management tools
- Prior experience training or onboarding new team members
